Can you believe this? I flew American Airlines from LAX to Tulsa to see my daughter and new granddaughter. (FYI:My return flight is not until July 11) When I arrived in Tulsa, my luggage did not. I filed a lost baggage claim and told them I have a medical condition and needed my luggage asap becuz my meds were in my bag. They assured me I would receive my bag the very next day. It never showed up so I called them back and they were extremely rude and said, "It's too bad. We can't help you because we did not get a tracking number for your luggage when we had FedEx pick it up." I called FedEx and explained the issue I was having. They finally found a tracking number and told me that the airline sent it 3 day delivery instead of one day but if they could find my bag they would overnight it for free. Kudos to FedEx!! She told me to call the Airline back and ask to speak to a manager to see if they could change the bag status since the sender is the only one who could do that. So, I called the airline back and they refused to speak to me or allow me to speak to a manager and even had the nerve to tell me that, "We refuse to take responsibility!" and she hung up on me....
What???? How can they NOT take responsibility when they are the ones who lost my luggage in the first place? What am I supposed to do without any clothes? And because of my medical condition, am I responsible for the hospital bill that is certain to follow because my medication is in my luggage? I cannot believe they are this cold hearted and treat any one this way. I want the world to know about this....Can I pursue any legal action? Can any one help me or advise me on this?? Thanks so much far any concern or help you can give.
